Facility Rental Application & Policy Agreement

Rental Cost
Prayer Hall:
Under 40 attendees – $0.00
Over 40 attendees – $500.00
Quran Khatam – $250.00
Nikkah ceremony – $500.00

Downstairs Hall:
Up to 200 attendees – $1000.00
201 – 450 attendees – $1750.00

Non profit price – Downstairs Hall:
Up to 200 attendees – $800.00
201 – 450 attendees – $1500.00

Upstairs Hall:
Up to 100 attendees – $400.00
Up to 300 attendees – $750.00

Upstairs Hall – Non profit price:
Up to 100 attendees – $300.00
Up to 300 attendees – $500.00

Payment and Fees
– No additional charges will apply after the event provided that:
– No damage occurred
– No excessive cleaning was required
– No policies were violated
– The facility was vacated on time
– The renter must vacate the rental space within one (1) hour after the end of the rental period.
– Overtime Fee: $100.00 per 30-minute increment beyond the scheduled end time.
– Overtime charges will be applied automatically and billed to the renter.
– Full payment of the rental amount is due and payable upon signing this agreement. Please donate the full rental amount at: www.sbia.info.
– Please forward the receipt to:receipts@sbia.info along with your completed and signed rental application.

Rental Policies
Islamic Conduct Guidelines: All events must comply with Islamic principles and the values of SBIA. Activities inconsistent with Islamic teachings are strictly prohibited. SBIA reserves the sole discretion to decline, modify, or immediately terminate any event that does not align with these standards, without refund.
Prayer Times: Prayer times will not be delayed or adjusted. Event activities must pause during congregational prayers if held in shared spaces.
Imam Reservation Policy: It is the renter’s responsibility to book an Imam for their event separately from completing this rental application form.
Children: Children must be supervised at all times. Running, climbing, and disruptive behavior in the prayer hall is strictly prohibited.
Decorations: Decorations are permitted for private events in designated areas. All decorations must be fully removed immediately following the event, and the space must be returned to its original condition. If any decorations are not removed, you will incur a $250.00 fee, for which you will be billed.
Setup & Cleanup: SBIA staff will provide basic setup and post-event cleaning. Renter is responsible for removing all personal items, and decorations before departure. Furniture and equipment may not be moved. This includes chairs in the prayer areas, tables, partitions, and all other SBIA property.
Food & Catering: No food or beverages are permitted in the Prayer Hall at any time. No food service is permitted in the upstairs area. Refreshments and beverages may be served.

Damages & Liability
The renter will be held responsible for payment of any damages to the rental space by guests, vendors, or attendees and all rental equipment resulting from use of the facility.
The renter will not hold South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA), along with its management and employees, liable for any loss, accidents, illness, injuries, or damages that may arise during or after use of the facility.
SBIA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Cancellation Policy
50% refund if canceled more than 72 hours before the event.
No refund within 72 hours of the event.

Right of Refusal
SBIA reserves the right to refuse or cancel any event that conflicts with the mission, values, or policies of the organization.
