Community Announcement

Dear Community, We are pleased to inform you that Imam Tahir has agreed to continue to serve SBIA as its Religious Director. In order to balance his SBIA engagement with his personal needs, Imam Tahir will resume his role in a capacity that provides him with greater flexibility. He is a valuable resource to our community and we are thankful to Allah SWT for helping us arrive at a solution that addresses the needs of the various constituents.

We thank all the SBIA members who have reached out to us with their concerns, suggestions, and guidance. Please continue to support and bless SBIA with your duas and best wishes.

sbia The South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) is one of the oldest Islamic Organizations in The Bay Area. Its headquarters are located in San Jose, CA. SBIA has been providing various services to the community since 1977 including the five daily prayers at two locations (San Jose Downtown, and Harris Way) and Friday prayers at both locations. SBIA has been active in spreading Islam through various Dawah programs and by hosting a number of activities including Weekend Islamic School, Quranic classes for children, Tafseer (English translation and Exegesis) classes for adults, conferences and community get-togethers.
