SBIA Book Club: “The Quran: With or Against the Bible?”

The SBIA Media Committee is starting a new SBIA BOOK CLUB, where we will be suggesting books about Islam, Muslims and other related topics and then having a group discussion.  Our First Event is scheduled for Sunday Sept. 23rd at 2pm at SBIA downtown center (325 N. Third Street, San Jose, CA).

Our first book is: "The Quran: With or Against the Bible?" by Dr. Ejaz Naqvi

A Quick Summary of the Book:

Who wrote the Qur'an? 
What is the Qur'anic view on the Prophets, especially Moses and Jesus? 
What does the Qur'an teach about Interfaith Relations? 
Does the Qur'an render Women as Second-Class Citizens? 
Does the Qur'an Promote Violence? 
How does the Qur'an compare to the Bible on Important themes such as worshiping God, the Prophets, Human Rights, moral values and fighting for Justice and human dignity?

InshaAllah, we will also try to have books available for sale at the event on Sept. 23rd.  The Author, Dr. Ejaz Naqvi will also be in attendance, InshaAllah.
