Topic 1A: Foreclosures and How the City of SJ Can Help
Speaker: Theresa Hayes - City of San Jose Housing Department
ABSTRACT: Over the last three years, San José families and households have received over 36,000 foreclosure filings from the banks on their home; this is a 280% increase from 2007 to 2009. To assist the impacted residents, the City of San José Housing Department is offering a free workshop to various congregants. Please join us to learn more about free services that include homeowners and renters assistance with options, loan documents, referrals to HUD- certified foreclosure prevention counselors, lenders, nonprofit legal services, emergency financial assistance and other housing services.
