Mommy & Me Book Club

Select Tuesdays | 11am-12:00pm | Robotics Room: 2345 Harris Way, San Jose Mommy & Me Book Club (MMBC) will be a gathering for moms and kids, ages 3-6, to play, read, do arts and crafts, sing along to children’s nasheeds, all based on the central theme of our “Book of the Week”. The number of participants will be limited to 20 people, including children, each session. To sign up, email LINK::mailto:salwa05@gmail.com:: Activities Arts and crafts based on the “Book of the Week” Interactive “Circle Time” Recitation of Surah Fatiha, Surah Ikhlas and Durood Children’s Nasheed sing-along Book(s) of the week Free play Snack time Objectives Create a welcoming place at the masjid specifically for young children and their moms. Build a love for the masjid in young children by creating an opportunity to associate positive experiences and memories with the masjid. Reinforce and strengthen our young community members’ islamic identity. Encourage learning through age-appropriate play and reading Notes: Weekly meetings of MMBC will involve setting up of an arts and crafts station, establishing a snack area, and doing clean-up. The participants of MMBC will jointly take on responsibility for these tasks Participants will provide materials and snacks on a rotating basis
