Due to multiple verifiable naked-eye sightings of a new crescent moon in California, (San Diego, Lodi, Mt. Tamalpais), Eid al-Fitr will be tomorrow Friday, July 17. South Bay Islamic Association adheres to the traditional principle that Islamic lunar months begin and end based on the confirmed, verifiable naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon.
