Qur'an Khatm for Br. Omer Farooq Syed

Omer Farooq Syed, father of longtime community member Sr. Fareena Syed, and father-in-law of dedicated SBIA volunteer and former Board President, Br. Shafath Syed, passed away this past Friday in Modesto. Quran Khatm There will be a Quran Khatm in memory of Br. Omer Farooq Syed this coming Saturday, October 17, following Salat al-Dhuhr (1:30 pm). There will be a brief talk and dua by Imam Ilyas Anwar at 4:15 pm, followed by Salat al-Asr. After Asr prayer, the family requests attendees to congregate downstairs for refreshments.
