In an age of hyper independence, you're taught that you should have the ability to take care of yourself and rely on Allāh. And while reliance on Allāh is a prerequisite for everything in life, we must take by the means that are available to us that don't contradict our faith. No one questions the decision to consult with a physician on medical issues; an accountant on financial matters; or a lawyer on legal issues. However, when it concerns issues relating to mental wellness that are often invisible, we often attach negative connotations to seeking support, that if sought out, can lead to very positive outcomes. Come and learn about what it means to seek support from a Muslim Mental Health professional, why there's a stigma, at times, when it comes to seeking support, and how transformative it can be for you and your family to seek support when needed.
