Khatmul Quran at Masjid al-Mustafa
Khatm Qur’an at Masjid al-Mustafa (2345 Harris Way, San Jose) will take place on the 28th night of Ramadan, corresponding to
Saturday, June 1.
In order to set up the facility, there will be NO COMMUNITY IFTAR this Saturday. Iftar will be served for singles and for the volunteers assisting with the khatm preparation.
- Salat al-Isha will start at 10:00 pm sharp. Please plan on arriving early
- Imam Tahir’s talk will start right after the sunnah prayers, followed by Salat al-Taraweeh
- Dua and Salat al-Witr thereafter
- Please carpool! We have more attendees at the khatm than at other events at Masjid al-Mustafa
- Please arrive early to find parking. Note that if on-site parking is full, we have two overflow lots just a few minutes’ walk away at:
– Bentek 2350 Harris Way
– Purity Park: 2221 Oakland Road. (See map below)
- Childcare will be provided through the duration of the khatm in Suite 101 on the first floor
- Packaged sweets will be served after the khatm
- Sh. Ala will host a Qiyam program after Taraweeh
- Qiyam ul Layl will be held at 3:15 am
The South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) is one of the oldest Islamic Organizations in The Bay Area. Its headquarters are located in San Jose, CA. SBIA has been providing various services to the community since 1977 including the five daily prayers at two locations (San Jose Downtown, and Harris Way) and Friday prayers at both locations. SBIA has been active in spreading Islam through various Dawah programs and by hosting a number of activities including Weekend Islamic School, Quranic classes for children, Tafseer (English translation and Exegesis) classes for adults, conferences and community get-togethers.
