Every year, we host an Interfaith Iftar for our friends of other faiths. Accordingly, this is not for our community to attend by themselves, but rather for us to bring along neighbors, colleagues, friends, or acquaintances from the Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, and other traditions.
If you know of such individuals who you believe would be interested in attending a program featuring SBIA representatives, local public officials, and dozens of guests of other faiths, please accompany them on Sunday, June 3. We will provide an overview of Islam, explain what Ramadan is, and offer guests an opportunity to ask any questions they have about Muslims.
This has historically been a very popular and wonderful event that we have hosted for the past 14 years and an important means of outreach to help dispel myths and stereotypes about Islam, allow all attendees to understand the commonalities we share, and build bridges with those of other faiths.
RSVP with your name along with the name of all guests who will accompany you: rsvp@sbia.info
We look forward to seeing you with your guests on June 3.
