Board of Director (BoD) & Board of Trustee(BoT) 2017 Elections
Assalamu Alaikum SBIA Member:
There will be three vacancies on South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) Board of Directors by the end of 2017 year when the BoD term of Br. Shan Saigal, Br. Muhammad Qamaruzzaman, and Br. Athar Siddiqee ends.
There will be one vacancy on South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) Board of Trustees by the end of 2017 year when the term of Sr. Rafia Syed ends.
SBIA is seeking nominations from motivated community members who can contribute their time, experience and expertise towards the growth and development of SBIA as one of reputed religious and social organization in the bayarea. It is a very rewarding and high impact way to do community service while learning new skills that can enhance their own careers.
The BoD/BoT nomination Forms will be available starting Aug 30th and the deadline for submitting signed nominations form is Sept 30th 2017 by 9 PM.

The South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) is one of the oldest Islamic Organizations in The Bay Area. Its headquarters are located in San Jose, CA. SBIA has been providing various services to the community since 1977 including the five daily prayers at two locations (San Jose Downtown, and Harris Way) and Friday prayers at both locations. SBIA has been active in spreading Islam through various Dawah programs and by hosting a number of activities including Weekend Islamic School, Quranic classes for children, Tafseer (English translation and Exegesis) classes for adults, conferences and community get-togethers.
